Tacoma Appreciation – Truly Amazing!
In the North Tacoma market, the Median Sales Price in Jan. 2016 was $297,500. Today, it stands at $425,000. That’s an increase of 42.9% in the last 3 years. Wow! But not all areas are created equal when it comes to increases in their median sales price. Check out Old Town/Stadium District median sale prices. They increased from $429,000 in Jan 2016 to $658, 125 today. That’s an increase of 53.4%. And the Proctor area saw a 46.1% increase from $338,600 to $495,000 in the same time frame. Likewise, the Westgate area increased from $275,000 to $385,000, an increase of 40%. However, the rate of increase seems to be slowing everywhere…. but …. Old Town/Stadium District, which saw a year over year increase of 14.5%. In 2019, the Old Town/Stadium area increased more than twice Proctor, 6 times as much as the Westgate area and 6 times as much as No Tacoma as a whole. It’s enough to cause anyone anxiety.

If you’re expecting to move at some point — even if you don’t know exactly when that will be — there are a number of tasks you can do now to ease the burden later. Here are the top seven ways I recommend you prepare, whether you know your target move date or not.

They are just tried and true things that work. And these aren’t tricks or skills that take years to master. Anyone can do them from day one. Consider this a foundation for developing your own quirky, creative, rule-breaking intuition.
